Upper and lower eyelid surgery can create a less aged appearance
An upper blepharoplasty is designed to reduce excess skin, muscle and fat of the upper eyelids to achieve a less aged, weary and ‘grumpy’ appearance. It is a subtle, but powerful rejuvenation technique that is relatively pain free and quick to recover from. In the worst cases of ‘baggy’ upper eyelids, a person’s vision can be obscured. If this is the case, the procedure is no longer an exclusively cosmetic operation.
The lower blepharoplasty involves an incision just below the lower eyelashes and readjusting the support structures of the lower eyelid. Very little skin is resected. Bulging or sagging of the lower eyelids may occur with age and can cause a tired look or bags under the eyes.
Dr Yang will personally assess your situation to determine what techniques will work best in your circumstance. By removing excess skin and fat, and tightening up the eyelids, the effect of a blepharoplasty can be quite profound on your overall facial appearance with a more rejuvenated and refreshed appearance around the eyes.
